2-226 Relay Programming

Chapter 2 - Features and Operation

To activate a redial:

Press the preprogrammed REDIAL flexible button,

-or-

Press the ON/OFF button,

-or-

Lift the handset, line is seized and number is dialed. If the user receives a busy/no answer,

they may repeat the step to activate another redial.

To cancel the operation:

Press the preprogrammed REDIAL flexible button. A confirmation tone sounds and the Auto

Redial function is cancelled.



Once the user presses the preprogrammed flexible button, the timer applies when the

user enters a digit. After a digit is entered, the inter-digit timer applies between the digits.

Relay Programming

Description

There are four relays on the MISB and three relays on the RAU that can be programmed to

perform certain functions. These functions are loud bell (to control a customer-provided

ringing device to external areas), external page control, RAN Start, PFTU control, and CO Line

control (to control ancillary equipment). When programmed as CO Line Control and assigned

to a CO Line, the corresponding contact closes whenever that CO line is accessed by a station.

Programming Steps

1. Press FLASH and dial [14]. Button #1 is lit to indicate Relay #1 is selected. The following

message displays:
